Which dimension of identity (i.e., age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, etc.) would you say has the most influence on consumers' decisions and experiences? Why?
There are many dimensions which effect a customer decision making process which includes various demographic factors like gender, age, ethnicity, religion, etc. but age has been seen as the most influential factor on customer decisions and experiences. It is because a person in different ages have totally different choice, even if they belong to same gender, religion, ethnicity, etc. Suppose, a girl at age of 20 prefer stylish and happening clothes as compared to women at age of 35 who prefers sober and smart clothes. Women at age of 50 prefer generally white clothes, simple and light. Not only in terms of clothing, is age an important factor behind any kind of customer decisions. People at different ages have totally different experiences for the same service and product offering. Same product is demand of one person, which is not useful for another person depending on the use of product.
