Positional Leadership is an issue in and of itself, however there is a difference in leading vs competing.
What is that difference and be detailed in your answer?
Positional leadership comes in due to position one held in the hierarchy within a system or organization. It is good to have a positional leadership but if someone utilizes it to create a system of influence over other than it is the wrong thing.
Leading is something in which one set an example over the subordinate to show them the right path and guide them through everything and make them independent in working. It is a great thing a leader has to make its subordinate equally talented or smart worker that he is.
Whereas Competing is bad when it comes to a leader and it’s subordinate. With the help of positional leadership, many leaders keep influencing its subordinate and even compete them in their work so that they don’t come forward and grow. This is a pathetic type of leadership style.
