Employees follow their leaders at the workplace. A leader always has to lead by an example. But if leaders would be unethical in their practices, then those unethical practices would pass down to employees. Hence, ethical behavior is important for everyone in an organization especially leaders. fate of the company depends on the ethical decisons of a leader.

Leader must always depict ethical behavior to gain trust of various stakeholders, who regularly invest in the company. An unethical leader may permanently tarnish the image of a company thus leading to decrease in market share of its products.
