A protected class can be defined as a unique group of persons or individuals for which some specific laws have been formulated by the government in order to provide legal protection against any kind of illegal job related discrimination which is based on the basis of race, age, religious belief, physical disability, national origin, veteran status, gender, and pregnancy.
