Pharmacological management is the prescription and administration of therapeutic drugs to the patient for treatment or prevention of diseases.

The most important aspect of pharmacological management is proper assessment and evaluation of the patient condition. Proper and thorough assessment of the patient will help in understanding the health condition and problems the patient so that a drug regime beneficial to the patient can be decided. It will also help in knowing about conditions that are contraindicated for certain drugs and prevent harmful adverse effects.
