This course prepares students in Obstetrics/Postpartum course to provide care to the postpartum patient focusing on postpartum complications. The main topics include, but are not limited to, postpartum depression, pre-eclampsia, and postpartum hemorrhage, and will focus on pharmacologic and medical interventions, as well as nursing assessments. Students will use theory and hands-on clinical practice. Virtual and high-fidelity simulations will provide real-life practice and management of the postpartum patient, with a particular focus on complications. Students will also utilize the nursing process and critical thinking to provide safe and competent care in routine and emergent situations. In doing so, they will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to be a part of a team, with interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration to meet the needs of the postpartum patient.

This is a course description for a hypothetical class that i am creating. I have to describe how the description communicates enthusiasm to students. I put that it communicated enthusiasm because it mentioned the use of high fidelity simulation, which many schools don't have access too. What else can I say about communicating enthusiasm?

Postnatal depression is a kinda depression occurs after childbirth. Those who have postpartum depression are at high risk because the depression can happen later on their lives. Major symptoms of postpartum depression are insomnia, loss of appetite, intense irritability and difficulty to bond with the baby. Untreated conditions may last months or years. The main treatment include counseling, antidepressants and hormone therapy. Communication has an important role in treating people with postpartum depression.
