Substance dualism states that "The mind(soul) is one seperate identity , and the body is another seperate identity of a human being. It says that the soul will live past the deterioration of our body.

Cartesian mind body dualism is the relationship between the thought and consiousness of human mind, and the physical body.

Dualism is problematic because " if the mind and body can exist independently then mind is non physical and body is, then the connection between mental and physical would be philosophical.
