(b)Enlarged knuckles and acute pain in hands and foots refers to arthritis( inflammatory arthritis) , which is the inflammation of joints causing pain. So blood testing for ESR( Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) or C-Reactive protein can be recommended to determine the patient condition. Imaging studies such as X- rays, CT scan, Ultrasound etc are also recommended in diagnosing arthritis.
(a) NSAIDs ( Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs) ,Analgesics etc are the best treatments of choice for the above condition as it relieves pain and inflammation. The nurse can administer the medications as per doctor's order. Hot applications and physiotherapy is also recommended to reduces the symptoms of arthritis.
