A patient with congestive heart failure, on cardiac examination by auscultation method the first and most common findings is volume overload that manifests as pulmonary or systemic congestion.

Hypotention and low cardiac out put are the other main features. patient may experience palpitation, shortness of breath , fatigue  

A proper history collection and carefull assessment helps to identify the etiology and common precipitating factors of congestive heart failure.

The best test for confirmation of congestive heart failure include blood test , chest x ray, ECG, Echo , CT scan ,MRI scan and coronary angiogram.
