Self-Assessment is a self-directed, two-part process that results in a Learning Plan. Begin by analyzing a situation or change in your practice. For example, a situation that seemed significant to you. Ask yourself questions to explore your actions, feelings and knowledge. Identify your strengths and areas for improvement. Next, gather input from a peer whom you trust and who is familiar with your role as a nurse. Peer input offers an objective perspective and validates your strengths and areas for improvement. Identify your learning needs and your learning goals"

Self evaluation is the most important part of working as a nurse. It help us to identify the strength and weakness.

MY SELF EVALUATION

MY STRENGTHS

• I am a sympathetic and empathetic nurse who gives priority to patient.
• I care my patients the way i care my family
• I give clear education and instructions to patients and i clear all their doubts patiently
• I listen to them always and i am really good in making a good rapport with my patients.
• I am very much dedicated to my work, and i have done extra shifts even on weekends.
• I recently trained new nurses

MY WEAKNESS

• Due to insufficient amount of staff available, sometimes it find difficult to manage many patients in short duration of time
• Sometimes i became sad and desperate when some patients show negative attitude like shouting, not showing any respect to our profession etc..

IMPROVEMENT

I should become more work oriented and i should become emotionally strong
