Hypervitaminosis is detrimental to one's health and it occurs when there is a high supplementary intake of vitamins and it reaches to the toxic levels in the blood to produce unwanted signs and symptoms. Hypervitaminosis harms the liver as in case of Hypervitaminosis of vitamin A. Hypervitaminosis of vitamin D causes; nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, drowsiness, muscular weakness, headache, excessive sweating, extreme thirst and excessive urination, weight loss and vertigo occur in mild cases. Generally, hypervitaminosis occurs for the fat-soluble vitamins as they are stored in the body and not water soluble ones, as they are easily removed from the body.
