1.The best method for sterilization is used of chemical agents.

In case of inhibition the UV radiation agent can be used.

2.Chemical agents are capable of destroying the vegetative state of most microorganisms and thus making it very sterile. In simple this can kill almost all microorganisms by this process and it is safe to use .Whereas the UV radiation is effective only to control airborne microorganisms ,to clean the environment contaminated by microorganisms but its full effectiveness is not possible when compared to chemical agents and it is not safe to use because of radiation exposure to the health care worker while disinfecting process .

3.It is important to have a standardized method for antimicrobial sensitivity testing for the following reason

  • To prevent errors and provide more accuracy in the procedure
  • To avoid confusion when carrying out the test
