Health information managers plays key role in managing data of patients, drugs and other healthcare related information digitally or in the form of documents or both. They are responsible for obtaining, analysing and securing the patient data. The data can be traditional records or electronic data (digital data). HIM aslo involves in designing, implementing and maintaining computerized healthcare systems and educating or guiding co-workers in order to deliver efficient and effective services. This way, HIM involve in day to day operations in the healthcare systems.
