A rational understanding of what does a patient thinks and knows about the disease would only help the support giver to know what are the requirements of the patient.

people with diabilities and their family members often lack information about the available services, or are disempowered or unable or uwilling to express theri needs.

Question the patient about what do you know about the self disability would help the support giver to design a proper care plan as every individual is specific with their requirements/ needs.

negative attitudes are cross cutting in lives of people with disabilities as it may have particular implication on the quality of support and assistance .

rational awareness of what patient thinks about his disability can help a support giver to plan better patient specific approach which would have a better outcome
