Why is critical thinking not a linear, step-by-step process?

Critical thinking --- It is a cognitive process that includes problem solving, creativity, decision making, dynamic process, thinking beyond first order effects , hard work . It is a continuous process to improve how to manage yourself when facing problems in patient care.

- It is not a step -by-step linear process i.e steps involved are not in sequence or linear. It requires experienced decision, and an active curiosity towards learning. Because no two patients are of same kind , not has same health problems , the nurse always apply critical thinking in different manner. They observe which clinical situation is important and handle accordingly. They consider about ethical principles and take proper decision about case of patient.
