Answer #1

Answer: It is important to Know about the HCPCS code because it plays major role in the accessing the patients. It also enables the healthcare providers to build up as well as to provide identification to the payers about the product and services used by the patient. In other words, it means that it is used to code the healthcare services used by the patient.

One of the major difference between the HCPCS and other code is that the other codes such as CPT or ICD these are used for the disease and procedure classification provided to the patients whereas the HCPCS code is for the services used. For example the coding for the use of the ambulance.
