What challenges do global HIV/AIDS treatment efforts face? How do these challenges compare to those facing HIV/AIDS treatment efforts based in the United States?

The challenges that global HIV/AIDS treatment efforts face is the fact that since no treatment is available for the AIDS except the antiretroviral regimen that delays progression.

Apart from this the only thing that we can do is use prevention such as condoms. But globally there are challenges to the use of condoms due to culture and lack of education in countries like Africa and Uganda. Limited availability of condoms is another such issue. However in the USA massive campaigns have been launched to promote the use of condoms. In the USA the HIV is still uncontrolled due to behavioral issues such substance abuse, mental illnesses and lack of access to healthcare.
