Corticosteroids irritate the lining of the stomach for that it is taken with foods. Steroids also increase the chance of gastric ulcer and GI bleed if it is taken with NSAIDs.

Facial flushing is very common adverse effect in steroid therapy.

When excess amount of fat deposited in the face and turn it to rounded shape it is called moon face. As steroids interfere with the metabolism of fat it increases appetite and causing moon face.

Increases blood glucose level is one common side effect of steroid therapy which increases thrust and cause more urination.

Due to the occurrence of insomnia as it is one of the adverse effects of steroids patients feel restlessness.
