Answer: Some potential consequences if public health practitioners do not take into account the culture or background of the community or target population when developing new initiatives intended to impact behavior as due to lack of cultural competence, it would become more difficult for the healthcare professionals to implement the change process. It is because of the increased diverse population of patient requires cultural considering while their treatment. Every person those are culturally different requires their needs, traditions, beliefs should be respected. Hence this would lead to reduced efficacy of the treatment. Sometimes it would also cause increased medical errors, poor drug administration, lack of nutrition etc. The implementation of new initiative may be not of any use or not be an effective method.
