give 2 reasons that have to be included in every discussion about taking antibiotics as they relate to pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
What the drug does to the body or mechanism by which a drug acts is pharmacodynamics.
What body does with the drug i.e. Absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion of the drug is pharmacokinetics.
When proper dose of antibiotics is given so as to maintain optimal concentration to minimal inhibitory concentration, effective eradication of the pathogens occurs.
· If not described by the doctor, antibiotics should not be taken. Frequent intake of antibiotics in wrong conditions can lead to antibiotic resistance by the body and body won’t react to antibiotics when needful condition.
· When prescribed, never skip the course of antibiotics because it may lead to long lasting infection or reoccurrence of infection. If the medicine is skipped, never take double dose on the next time , it may cause side effects.
