How wide should the circle of people are who are responsible for medical debts be drawn? Should a spouse or family members be required to compensate hospitals for the costs of a spouse or relative’s health care?

A spouse or family members should be required to compensate hospitals for the costs of a spouse or relative’s health care by the use of a formal agreement as not all members of a family are earning, so depend on others. In family courts also the spouse is supposed to pay maintenance to the spouse in case of a divorce if he or she has income but the other source is having no income. Thus important sectors such as healthcare should not be neglected. Further, when the employer pays for the insurance of both the employee and his spouse so the spouse should also bear the responsibility of pay for the spouse; when he has income.
