Thegiven research used a descriptive comparative study design
with a subsample of chronically ill persons who were living in the
community but who did not have heart failure. Participants were
recruited from a single province in South Korea with the following
criteria: (a) aged 21 years or older, (b) have chronic health
conditions but not diagnosed with heart failure, and (c)
understands the study protocol.
As the study was conducted in a province of south Korea the setting
has to be considered as natural setting which is appropriate for
this study according to the authors and scope of study.
