How would you address and train the staff regarding an individual request for the hospital to handle and/or accept a patient bringing their personal health record to the facility for the information to be included in the record?

The personal health records is the document regarding the patient information for seeking a medical help and acting as a legal document . The following things has to be trained to the staff

  • Verify the patient who brought the PHR for correction or changed to be done in the record
  • Ensure a proper health care professional visit is made in case of inclusion regarding medical conditions which can be a warning sign to health condition
  • Counter verify before entering the changes
  • Check whether it is HIPAA compliant or not
  • Check for medical emergency and legal consequences
  • Teach the client about the usage of PHR .
