SIMILARITY:-----

Both the theory describes cognitive development in children. They have similarity that, social interaction has an important , unbelievable role in cognitive development.

In, Piaget's theory-- he gave importance on social transmission which totally influences the cognitive development.  

Vygotsky theory also describes the same thing. He stated that social interaction play an important role in cognitive development which directly evaluates the speech, language , and thoughts.

DIFFERENCE:-----

The main difference in between two theories is that,

Vygotsky gave more importance or emphasize upon the speech, language but Piaget's doesn't give stress on language , speech. Piaget said that it will develop automatically in cognitive development.
