The Paleolithic age was from about 2 million BC to 10,000 BC;
known as the Old Stone Age. The Neolithic age also called the New
Stone Age, covered a period from about 9000 BC to 3500 BC.
According to the archaeologists, the Paleolithic era was
characterized by people who were hunters and gatherers; leading a
nomadic life gathering around for food. In the Neolithic era,
people had led a settled life having a more sedentary lifestyle.
They started cultivating grains and also started storage of food.
The cultivation of food is the major revolution in this era. The
concepts of polished tools, pottery, cloth, the wheel, the sail,
the ox yoke, and plough were well developed in this age.
