Discuss why deprofessionalization in health care does not eliminate the original profession. Discuss if this is likely to change in the future.
Deprofessionalization in healthcare i.e. the fact that the business mentality has infiltrated the American medicine. Medical personnel now provide healthcare service that is “purchased” by the clients i.e. the patients who are considered as the; “customers.” Deprofessionalization in health care does not eliminate the original profession as the healthcare persons provide better and quality care now as their interest is also linked to the interest of the patient. This is not likely to change in future; as the world is governed by money and the corporate world will lobby for this in future as well.
