Answer: Communication plays major role in the healthcare organizations. Communication influences the method of treatment provided to the patients. So, communication barrier could lead to:

• Poor understanding or misunderstanding
• Poor treatment provided to the patient.
• Could result in medication error.
• Could reduce the treatment efficacy.
• Create chaos among healthcare professionals.

So, to. Remove the communication barrier, it is important to adopt some of the methods such as:

• Use effective communication.
• Use gestures
• Use simple words
• Face to face communication could be a great way.
• Healthcare professionals should make eye contact and should indulge themselves in active listening process.
• Encourage to provide cultural competence environment to the culturally different patients. This will removes the communication barrier.
