CD4+ count is otherwise known as CD4+ T cells which help to know about how the immune system of a person is. These are white blood cells which fight against infection. The more a person have the better. These are the cells which gets affected by HIV virus. The normal range of these cells are 500 -1500. If a person with HIV virus infection andd the CD4+ count dropped below 200 is considered as the condition AIDS. In an HIV positive person , if the count of these cells increases indicate effectiveness of treatment.
