REASON -  It is a stage where the person is aware of his condition and he is seriously thinking about overcoming the problem . Even he thinks about the pros and cons of changing the behaviour but he has not yet made a commitment to change his action .

A. Preparation - people in this stage are intending to take action and has successfully started taking some actions .

C. Maintenance - it is a stage where people maintain the behavioural change to prevent relapse and consolidate the gain during the action.

D. Pre- CONTEMPLATION - There is no intention to change behaviour in the future and the person is not aware of their problems
