Some of the skills to possess when working with electronic medical records are :

1. effective communication: when using the electronic medical records you may need to communicate with the health informatics team, senior leaders and others in the organisation about the use of EMR.
2. Technical proficiency: you may need to learn new technical skills such as networking, software installations and interface support for effective implementation of the EMR.
