Answer #1

I believe that all nurses should have in depth knowledge regarding mental health as the nurses are the one who is with the patient 24 hours, they should know the signs and symptoms of certain mental illness which can help in order to diagnose and treat it at the early stage.

The nurses are the one who shows their empathy towards the patient and for which a nurse should have sound knowledge regarding mental issuess an how to deal with it.

Another issue with the mental illness is the person suffering from mental issues faces descriminations everyday so a nurse who have sound knowledge regarding mental illness will not be bias in making decisions and provide care equally to all the patients without any descrimination and stigma.
