Clinical expertise as evidence for research:

An evidence based protocal work group must look for an evidence based clinical practice guideline , that guides and supports its protocol. A qualitative study , or a large sample test or randomized trial cannot serve the purpose , as it does not give any solid proof.

Clinical expertise to be given to a patient only after assessing the clinical data and family's recommendations about the preferences of the patient. Evidence based practice involves integration of research with clinical expertise. Strength of evidence includes summarization, translation, defining the strength of evidence and recommended care to be taken after assessing strength of evidence.
