Nursing field has been eveolved since the 19th century in the USA. there have been several events and perosnalities in the field who contributed to develop the sector and shape it the way it appears today.

the five most pivotal events and people in history of nursing that infleunced the leadership and care are as follows-

1. In 1860, Florence Nightingale created the first secular Nursing school

2. The American Nurses Association was established in 1911

3. in 1923 there was establishment and foundation of the Yale Nursing School

4. Soon with introduction to hospice care the first hospice program was establishe din USA in 1974

5. The leadership implies the nursing field and in 1922, the first United States registered nurse was elected in Congress

Hence, these are some couple of evenets and personalities that helped shape the future of nursing since 19th century in the USA.
