One research study that addresses a topic on NAPNAP research agenda is; Childhood obesity: causes and consequences, (Sahoo, 2015). According to this research; environmental factors, lifestyle preferences, and cultural environment play important roles in the increased prevalence of obesity worldwide. Further, obese children are likely to stay obese into adulthood and hence are likely to develop non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
