Answer: QSEN competencies are important to meet the challenges in the nursing work place or profession. Knowledge, skills and attitudes are important components of the QSEN competencies. The knowledge mainly integrates the multiple dimensions of the patient centered care. The skills involves meeting the patient's needs. The positive attitudes could enhance the speedy recovery of the patient.

One of the major competencies which should be more focused is the skills. The critical thinking skills, decision making skills enables the health care professionals to deal with the challenges. By providing cultural competence environment to the patient, it becomes easy to build a trust, communicate and understand the needs of the patient. So, skill plays major role.
