The Theory of Reasoned Action is the theory which is used in evaluating the self belief of an individual, their attitude and behaviour. It evaluates by four stages:
BELIEFS:
Jane is currently at the belief stage as she has decided to reduce her alcohol intake by 5 dinks per week as she beliefs that alocohol is not good for her health and quitting it would be a good option.
ATTITUDE:
When Jane realises that the alcohol is not good for her and it is harming her body, Her attitude towards quitting the alcohol is good.
INTENTION:
When Jane is in the process of quitting the alcohol, her intention towards the better health is stronger.
BEHAVIOUR:
When Jane quits the alcohol, her behaviour is improved and she is positive about her life.
