Answer #1

The immediate thing that I do not understand is, there are two different plants, one is growing healthy and one remains dormant. The thing I did not understand is, when all the resources, i.e. water, sunlight and the soil are available in the equal quality and quantity to the two plants, what makes them grow differently?

I would express this question to find out the genetic factors ineluceing the growth of paltns because the environemntal facotrs are similar for both the plants.

A species is a difficult thing to define, but there are some parameters. The mouse lemurs of Madagascar number at approximately 20 species. However, they all look remarkably similar. How are they different species? If they are physically so similar, what makes them different species? Can they interbreed? Do they?
