Safety usage instructions on oxygen therapy at home include:

1. Keep the oxygen source atleast 3 meters away from the open flame or heat source.

2. Do not smoke or don't allow anyone to smoke near oxygen equipment

3. Avoid using anything flammable near the oxygen source.

4. Don't allow alcoholic solution,oil and grease to come in to contact with oxygen source.

5. Check whether all electrical appliances in the vicinity of oxygen cylinder is properly covered.

6. Keep oxygen equipment clean and dust free always.

7. Properly handle oxygen equipment to prevent damage

8. If oxygen is prescribed for whole day, should have a back up cylinder.

9. Once the cylinder is finished, close the valve and mark it asaas empty.

10. Ensure the oxygen cylinders are transported securely as per government rules and regulations.
