Health promotion and disease prevention programs focusses on keeping the health of people.The main aim of Health promotion programs is to engage and empower individuals and communities to choose healthy behaviors and to make changes that reduces the risk of chronic diseases. Disease prevention focusses on specific efforts aimed to reduce the severity of the chronic diseases and morbidities. By conducting awareness programs and by educating and empowering behavior change and actions through increased knowledge can be approached in health promotion and disease prevention. Implementation of new policies, laws,rules and regulations can also be used for disease prevention.
