E.coli which is otherwise known as Escherichia coli is a Gram Negative bacteria, which belongs to the genus of Escherichia, which inhabits in the intestine of animals .They also have the ability to cause serious food poisoning and is often found in the faecal matter. There are two types of Enterotoxins they are heat-labile enterotoxin(LT) and heat-stable enterotoxin(ST).Heat-labile enterotoxin is a toxin which is labile and found in Ecoli. It provides enterotoxigenic Ecoli to provide colonization.it is similar to cholera toxin whereas heat-stable enterotoxins are generally toxic in nature and they are secretory peptides. It is one of the main causative agent causing acute diarrhoea in infants
