Considering the public outcry to legalize marijuana, why does the FDA stand firm on keeping marijuana on Schedule I? State at least two reasons for the FDA's position.

2). Why murijuana (cannabis) keeping in schedule 1:

It has Potential to create psychological or physical dependence

Two reasons for FAD position:
Provide the safe and supervision of foods, tobacco products , and dietary products etc...to ensure public health .
FDA have that position to categorise the medicines schedules.
3). In my point of view it's a exact or correct schedules for drugs to reduce the abuse
We use the schedule 1 drugs only for the medical purpose other than that. FDA have a consideration to avoid cannabis use in smoking , to reduce easy availability ,etc...
