The surgeon makes a small cut below the belly button.A needle or tube is inserted into the incision.Co2 is passed through the needle or tube.the gas helps expand the area and helps surgeon to visualise the inner organs.A tube is placed through the cut in your abdomen.A tiny video camera called laparoscope goes through this tube and used to see the organs.

The abnormalities such as tumour,ovarian cyst,endometriosis,ectopic pregnancy,obstruction in tubes, and pelvic inflammatory disease.
