Answer #1

1) Costs - Outpatient care is not only less expensive than the hospital but even operating costs associated with over night stays and other system are also reduced.

2) Access to care - Outpatient centers are conveniently located near the patient and physicians alike. They provide full range of service in very low costs.

3) Reimbursement - Hospitals make more money due to nature of reimbursement from the patients who don't need to stay overnight and that way outpatient care becomes handy.

4) Staffing - Outpatient care clinics are not open day and night and that is why multiple shifts of staffs are not needed. Doctors also get some incentive in going for outpatient surgery.

5) Region - There are outpatient care that specifically focuses on some religion or region. So, rather than getting mixed crowd in hospitals different group of people go to their outpatient care clinics in their region.
