Long- term care centres had to face significant challenges within the last few years.Some of the issues are

  • Birthrates are declining and babyboomers are growing,as the population base is rising we need more infrastructures which can provide quality care and it is quite frustrating to think that we only have a very few elderly care centres.
  • Shortage of qualified staff to take care of the clients in long- term care is a problem that requires attention
  • The raise in the numbers of seniors will increase the cost of providing services,leading to taxpayer concerns about financial susceptibility of the system.
  • There are no back up or support from the higher bodies.
  • Lack of Leadership quality .
