Empowerment in simple refers to the rights provided or offered to an individual to take decision which has to be followed or abused by others

Eg ., A Managing Director is empowered to pass rules and regulations ,protocols for the organization which is a must for the employees to be abided for.

Disempowerment refers to the inability to take any decisions are the people who simply has to follow the order of others .In certain situations due to various factors like ageing, socioeconomic status, financial status ,education, race, ethnicity ,etc. ,the power is hooded by authority which can make others disempowered

Eg., AA elderly parent is disempowered in a nuclear family now a days to be a active part for decision making
