Assessment

This is a stage where the needs, problems ,issues are identified. The health behavior is monitored so that further improvement and advancement can be planned The disease is assessed for its cause, risk factors ,effectiveness of treatment ,prognosis, etc., It is important for public health to screen in early ,take preventive services and thus improve the quality of life

Policy development

This forms the second core function by planning the necessary intervention for the assessed thing. It is much important for public health in preventative services by controlling any outbreak of illness or managing the existing diseases effectively.

Assurance

The plan ,interventions which is evaluated for its results and appropriate changes are done. It is important in public health because evaluation helps to know how well or not the intervention was useful or bot to the public.
