  • active or chronic liver disease as it causes liver toxicity
  • those with allergic history to oral Terbinafine as it causes anaphylaxis

Following to be considered before prescribing Terbinafine:

  • Ask the patient to avoid tea,coffe ,cola and other energy drinks whch contain caffeine
  • Terbinafine can interact with drugs like warfarin,amiodarone,cimetidine,tricyclic antidepressants,fuconazole,ketoconazole
