Answer #1

A challenging situation that I have faced during history-taking or physical assessment of an ethnic minority client was overcoming the communication barrier due to the difference in language as my client was a Chinese who knew only Mandarin and I didn't know Chinese. The lesson I learned from this situation is that as a healthcare provider it is very essential to know the culture and the language of the client to efficiently serve them.
