Explain the acid balance associated with the following etiology and what the physiological effect/ rational for severe shock

Acid base balance are necessary for proper functioning of the body.Even if there is slight alterations it may endanger life.When acid level increase in body it lowers pH level and it is called as acidosis.It can be respiratory acidosis ( increased CO2 level) or metabolic acidosis ( kidney cannot excrete certain component)

Both this will decrease the patients oxygen level increase the CO2 level and decrease the pH level causing shock.

If patient are not treated at the right time with oxygen, artificial ventilation.The acidic nature increases and causes defects in each system like respiratory failure>>organ failure>>shock>>death

So before a patient lands up in shock prompt action to be taken.
