  • Change the position of patient every 2 hours.
  • Reposition as per orders to comfortable position.
  • Place air filled or water filled ballons at pressure points.
  • Do not drag the patient while shifting, instead lift using the sheets underneath.
  • Use air filled mattress which relieves the pressure on skin.
  • Provide proper nutrition .
  • Give fluids as per orders.
  • Keep the skin clean and dry.
  • Moisturise the skin after bed bath.
  • Use adult diapers if there is no urinary cathether.
  • Maintain blood glucose levels . Administer insulin or oral hypoglycemics as prescribed.
  • Advice physiotherapy.
